OXFORD, Miss. - Mira Radu, a senior on the Ole Miss women's tennis team, will have another opportunity to play after being selected to the NCAA Singles Championship Thursday by the NCAA Tennis Committee.

Radu will be making her third appearance in the NCAA Individual Championships. She also qualified in 2000 and 2002. Last year, she earned All-American honors and finished the season ranked No. 20 with a 33-16 overall record.

This season, Radu is currently ranked No. 23 with a 21-10 overall record. She posted a 8-3 record at No. 1 singles in the SEC to earn All-SEC second team honors for the second year in a row. Radu became only the fourth player in the history of the program to record 100 career victories with her win over Baylor this season and currently has a career mark of 105-51.

"It's a great honor for Mira to make the NCAA Individual Championships three of her four years," head coach Mark Beyers said. "She beat the No. 1 player at the time during the season. She is capable of beating anyone on any given day and heads into NCAAs with a lot of confidence. Hopefully we can wash away the bitter taste we have from not making the team championships with a successful showing by Mira."

The NCAA Individual Championships begin May 19 and conclude with the finals on May 23.
