#NGWSD20: Dear Mackenzie
Dear Mackenzie,
You are about to graduate from The University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. Can you believe that? Getting into college and deciding where to go seemed like so many unknowns throughout middle school and high school, but you definitely made the right decision because it has been the best four years of my life. Enjoy each day as it comes because the years fly by so fast! I wish time would just slow down and I could go back to where you are now. You’ve always enjoyed learning and going to school, but you’d never expect that you would be a teacher. But here you are now, going to school learning to be an elementary teacher.
Keep enjoying life, working hard, and never give up! The best is yet to come.
You’ve spent all four years of college on the cheerleading team at Ole Miss. Starting cheerleading in the second grade and continuing it all those years, you would’ve never guessed this is where it would lead you. Your dream to be an Ole Miss cheerleader will soon come about, but just as quickly it will end. So, keep working hard and keep enjoying it because it will definitely be missed in the future.
Not only have you been a part of the team all your years at Ole Miss, but this year you had the opportunity to be one of the captains on the team. Now that is something I know you are surprised about! But don’t let that scare you. It has been such an amazing experience, and I have learned skills on how to be a great leader. You are on a path to be right where you need to be.
