Ole Miss Athletics will be announcing the nominees for several categories for the upcoming virtual 2020 Rebels Choice Awards, which will be held on the @OleMissSports Twitter account on Monday, April 20 at 6 p.m. CT. Below is the upcoming nominee announcement schedule:

Rookies of the Year: Tuesday, April 14
Teams of the Year: Wednesday, April 15
Coaches of the Year: Thursday, April 16
Game/Play of the Year: Friday, April 17
Most Valuable Rebels: Saturday, April 18
Rebels Choice Awards: Monday, April 20

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Bullock, Cole

• Helped Rebel men win their second straight SEC title by 55 points -- the largest margin in the SEC since 2015

• Finished 19th at SEC Championships, helping Rebel women to tie for best finish in program history in second place behind No. 1 Arkansas
• Finished 29th at NCAA South Regional, helping Rebel women punch fourth straight ticket to the NCAA Championships

Mitchell, Jasmine

Jasmine Mtichell • Women's Track & Field
Freshman • Hazel Crest, Ill.
• NCAA qualifier in the women’s weight throw
• SEC runner-up in the women’s weight throw, earning Second-Team All-SEC honors in addition to being named to the SEC All-Freshman Team
• Part of Rebel women scoring 23 SEC points in the weight throw alone, tied for the most in a single event this season
• Part of Ole Miss weight throw crew that became first trio in NCAA history to have three women beyond 22 meters in the same season
• Career-best 22.23m (72-11.25) ranked No. 8 in the NCAA and ranks No. 3 all-time at Ole Miss

• 2x Second-Team All-American outdoors in the 4x100-meter relay (12th place) and 100-meter dash (12th place)
• During freshman season, broke long-standing Ole Miss records in the 100-meter dash (11.19) and 4x100-meter relay (43.45)

Macy Somoskey

Macy Somoskey • Women's Golf

• Played in 9 events, averaging 77.05 strokes
• Turned in match-deciding victories for Ole Miss at SEC Championship in upsets of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina (63 holes of match play total), helping lead Rebels to their first SEC title in program history
• Tied for 51st in NCAA debut at Norman Regional
• Top Stroke Play finisher at Liz Murphy Classic
• WGCA All-American Scholar

Tate Whitley

• 52 starts in left field, third on the team with a .290 batting average, 23 runs scored

• Electric defender, made a bevy of highlight-reel catches for Rebels including a diving grab in foul territory to seal win against Tennessee
