Rebels Host Ole Miss Soccer Classic

OXFORD, Miss - The Ole Miss soccer team will close out the 1999 regular season by hosting the Ole Miss Soccer Classic this weekend.
The Rebels will host the Kansas Jayhawks and San Diego State Aztecs in the three-day tournament.
Ole Miss, 11-7 overall, will take on Kansas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and then play the Aztecs on Sunday at 11 a.m. Kansas and San Diego State will square off on Saturday at 3 p.m.
"This is a great way to finish the regular season and prepare for the SEC Tournament," Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman said. "Kansas and San Diego State are two very strong teams and will be a great challenge for our team."
In addition, the Rebels will honor the 1999 seniors before the game on Friday against Kansas. The 1999 seniors include Birna Bjornsdottir, Amaris Weeks, Amy Lucas, Brooke Riley, Jennifer Curry and Leigh Frisbee.
The SEC Western Division champion Rebels will travel to Nashville, Tenn., next week to take on the Tennessee Lady Volunteers in the first round of the SEC Soccer Tournament. Ole Miss will play the Lady Vols on Thursday, Nov. 4, at noon CST.
