Women's Golf Finishes 12th At Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Robyn Rinaldo of the Ole Miss women's golf team fired a final-round 74 to tie for 15th at the Lady Paladin Invitational. The Lady Rebels finished 12th with a 316-319-312--947.

Wake Forest, who led the field at the end of play all three days, took the team title with a 54-hole score of 892. The Demon Deacons were followed by Texas at 908 and Auburn at 909. TCU's Angela Stanford shot an even-par 216 and captured the individual crown by defeating Wake's Maria Beautell in a playoff.

Rinaldo, a senior from Dade City, Fla., finished with a 76-77-74--227 to earn her 20th career top-20 finish and her second of the year. A 1999 All-SEC first team selection, Rinaldo is leading the Lady Rebels in stroke average this fall with a 76.92 mark.

Junior Marci Kornegay of Savannah, Ga., finished in a tie for 36th with a 79-77-79--235, while junior Teresa Brown of Windermere, Fla., posted a 79-82-82--243 to rank 67th. Other Lady Rebels competing included Elizabeth Hoffman, who totaled a 245, and Bernadette Luse, who carded a 255.

Ole Miss is next in action Nov. 8 and 9 at the Palmetto Women's Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C.
