OXFORD, Miss. - Eleven members of the Ole Miss soccer team were named to the 1999 Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
The Rebels had the fourth most student-athletes on the honor roll, behind Auburn (14), Tennessee (12) and South Carolina (12).
Junior Sara Schauberger, a native of Russellville, Ky., was named to the honor roll for a second consecutive year after earning a 4.0 grade point average in Marketing.
Seniors Brooke Riley and Leigh Frisbee also made the honor roll for a second straight year. Riley, a Gulfport, Miss., native, posted a 3.78 GPA in Exercise Science, while Frisbee, a native of Lewisville, Texas, earned a 3.15 GPA in Dietetics.
Senior Amaris Weeks, a Spring, Texas native, made her first appearance on the honor roll with a 3.03 GPA in Management.
Juniors Regan Scanlon, Jennifer Soileau and Sarah Wong were each named to the honor roll for a second consecutive year.
Scanlon, a Pittsford, N.Y. native, posted a 3.48 GPA in Psychology, while Soileau, a native of Baton Rouge, La., earned a 3.27 GPA in Exercise Science. Wong, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, earned a 3.52 GPA in International Business.
The Ole Miss soccer team finished the 1999 season with a 12-8 overall record and a 4-5 mark in the SEC and claimed the SEC Western Division championship.
The Rebels will take on the Tennessee Lady Volunteers in the first round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 4, at Noon CST. The 1999 SEC Tournament will be held at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
