Jennifer Soileau Earns NSCAA Honors

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss midfielder Jennifer Soileau (Baton Rouge, La.) was named to the 1998 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Central Region soccer third-team Tuesday. She is the first Lady Rebel in school history to earn the honor.
"I am so happy for Jennifer," said Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman. "All the hard work and commitment during the off-season really paid off for her. Her work ethic earned her this award."
Soileau, a 1998 Southeastern Conference first-team member, led the Lady Rebels in total points and assist this season. She posted 32 points on nine goals and 14 assists in 18 games. Her assists total was the second highest in the SEC, one assist behind Vanderbilt's Austa Helgadottir.
Ole Miss finished the season with a record of 9-7-2 and a second-place finish in the SEC Western Division.The Lady Rebels lost to Kentucky, 4-1, in the first round of the SEC tournament.
