Lady Rebel Golfers Third at SEC Championships

OPELIKA, Ala. - Ole Miss junior Robyn Rinaldo shot a two-over par 74 to lead the Lady Rebel golf team in first-round action at the Southeastern Conference Women's Golf Championships on Friday. The tournament is being held at the par-72 Grand National Lake Course.
The Lady Rebels are tied for third place after the first round, as the squad carded a 308. Georgia leads the field with a 299 after round one. Tennessee is in second place with a 306, while LSU is tied with Ole Miss in third at 308.
Rinaldo is in third place with a score of 74. Senior Megan Breen and freshman Kim Tudor are also among the top 20 golfers after the first round. Breen is tied for 11th with a 77, while Tudor is tied for 18th with a 78. Sophomore Teresa Brown is tied for 23rd with a 79, and sophomore Marci Kornegay is tied for 31st, carding a first-round 80.
Georgia's Shauna Estes leads the field with a score of 67 after the first round. LSU's Lisette Lee is second with a 73.
The SEC Championships continue with second-round play on Saturday.
