OXFORD, Miss. - The 14th-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team will host No. 1 ranked and defending NCAA Champion Florida Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.

The Lady Rebels (13-3, 5-1) are coming off a big weekend in which they posted consecutive wins over top 10 opponents. Last Friday the Lady Rebels defeated No. 7 William & Mary 5-4 and then on Sunday they downed No. 8 Vanderbilt 5-1.

Junior Celeste Frey became the first Lady Rebel this year to win 30 matches. She is currently 30-12 overall, 10-4 at No. 2 singles. Senior Agnes Muzamel needs only eight more wins to become the all-time career singles leader at Ole Miss.

The Lady Gators are led by 12th-ranked Whitney Laiho, who owns a 12-2 record at No. 1 singles. Five of Florida's players are ranked in the top 50 in the current national rankings, with four in the top 30.

Florida holds a 22-1 lead in the series. The Lady Rebels' lone win in the series was a 5-4 decision in the 1983 season.
