Lady Rebel Soccer Gears Up for Preseason Test

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Lady Rebel soccer team will begin its fall campaign on Saturday, Aug. 22 as it hosts the Texas Image U-18 soccer club in a preseason scrimmage. The game, set for 6 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium, will consist of three 40 minute periods.
"We are glad to have the chance to play Texas Image, which is one of the top club teams in the state of Texas," said Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman. "It will give us an opportunity to evaluate our preseason workouts and let us know where we stand as a team."
The Lady Rebels are coming off their most successful season in their three-year history. Ole Miss finished last year with an 11-9 record (4-4 in the Southeastern Conference) and saw its first SEC playoffs action.
The University of Mississippi will open the regular season against Southern Mississippi, Sept. 1 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
