OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Keith Carter scored 19 points, leading five teammates in double figures, as Mississippi beat Austin Peay 105-62 Saturday.
The Rebels (4-1) are 4-0 at home this season, all of the victories by at least 42 points, to extend their school-record homecourt winning streak to 24 games. They have won 39 of their last 40 games at Tad Smith Coliseum.
Austin Peay (1-3) tied the game at 13-13 when Trenton Hassell hit a short jumper with 15:22 left. But Ole Miss responded with an 11-2 run and the Governors never got closer than six points.
Ole Miss scored the last 13 points of the first half to build a 49-27 advantage by the break.
Darrian Brown and Lataryl Williams both came off the bench to score 16 points for the Rebels, who shot 55 percent (40-of-73) with 12 3-pointers. Rahim Lockhart had 13 points and seven rebounds while 5-foot-5 freshman guard Jason Harrison added 11 points.
Carter and Harrison both hit three 3-pointers.
Hassell was the only player in double figures for Austin Peay, which shot 40 percent (23-of-57) from the field and 46 percent (11-of-23) from the free throw line.
Lockhart started in place of Jon Cantrell, who sat out with a virus. Marcus Hicks, who left Tuesday's 89-45 victory over Alabama A&M with a turned ankle, started and played 15 minutes Saturday, scoring four points with eight rebounds.
