Rinaldo Tied for Third at SEC Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-- Ole Miss golfer Robyn Rinaldo fired a 73 and is tied for third after the first round of the SEC Women's Golf Championships on Friday, and the Lady Rebels are tied for fourth with a 304.
Georgia, the defending SEC champion, leads the tournament with a 295, followed by Alabama with a 298 and LSU with a 302. Ole Miss is tied for fourth with Arkansas.
Rachael Short of Alabama is the individual leader with a 71, followed by Reilley Rankin of Georgia with a 72. Rinaldo, a sophomore from Dade City, Fla., is tied for third with Georgia's Shannon Ogg.
Megan Breen, a junior from Longwood, Fla., and Anna Kirchner, a junior from Spring, Texas, are tied for 17th with a 76. Kirchner's score is her lowest round of the year and second lowest of her career.
Senior Lauren Mellen of Orlando, Fla., is tied for 33rd with a 79, and freshman Marci Kornegay of Savannah, Ga., is tied for 53rd with an 84.
The Lady Rebels, who have finished in the top 10 in all nine tournaments and have seven top five finishes, will play round two at the Riverchase Country Club on Saturday and complete the tournament Sunday.
