Women's Golf Finishes Ninth

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Ole Miss women's golf team finished ninth at the Lady Gator Invitational with a 316-311--627 as the final round of the tournament Sunday was canceled due to rain. The Lady Rebels now have seven top 10 finishes in all seven tournaments this year.
Robyn Rinaldo, a junior from Dade City, Fla., shot a 75-77--152 and tied for 13th place for her sixth top 20 finish of the season. Teresa Brown, a sophomore from Windermere, Fla., shot a 76-79--155 and tied for 25th place.
Megan Breen, a senior from Longwood, Fla., tied for 31st with a 79-78--157. Marci Kornegay, a sophomore from Savannah, Ga., tied for 54th with an 86-77--163, and Anna Kirchner, a senior from Spring, Texas, tied for 73rd with an 88-79--167.
Georgia won the tournament with a 303-297--600, and Florida came in second with a 307-305-- 612. Lindsay Smith of Furman won individual honors with a 70-74--144.
The Lady Rebels' next tournament will be March 12-14 at the LSU/Fairwood Invitational in Baton Rouge, La., at the Fairwood Country Club.
