Women's Rifle Wins Dual Matches

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's rifle team downed Tennessee-Martin 1405-1331 and Alabama-Birmingham 1405-1151 on Saturday to even the Lady Rebels' dual match record at 3-3.
Jessica Crockett, a junior from Brown Deer, Wis., led Ole Miss with a 366, followed by freshman Jennifer McKinney of West Point, Miss., with a career-high 363. Jill Barnes, a freshman from Jackson, Miss., came in third with a 356, followed by senior Cinnamon Pugh of Louisville, Miss., with a 320.
Individually, junior Samantha Ball of New Albany, Miss., shot a career-high 331, while senior Tiffani Norman of Little Rock, Ark., shot a career-high 308.
"Although this was not our best team score, it felt good to end the season with a couple of wins," Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe said.
The Lady Rebels ended their third season ranked 23rd out of 53 schools. Also, Barnes' 377 at the NCAA Sectional Feb. 14 earned her 62nd place out of 247 shooters that competed in the sectional.
