Women's Soccer Plays Twice This Weekend

OXFORD, Miss.-- The Ole Miss Lady Rebel soccer team opens its seven game home schedule with a pair of games this weekend at the Ole Miss Women's Soccer Stadium. The Lady Rebels will host UT-Chattanooga Saturday at 5:00 pm and UT-Martin Sunday 1:00 pm.
"This is a great opportunity prepare ourselves for a tough Southeastern Conference slate." said Rebel head coach Steve Holeman. "UT-Chattanooga and UT-Martin will challenge and teach us about our team." The Lady Rebels (1-0) return to action after a 4-0 victory over in-state rival Southern Mississippi at Hattiesburg last Tuesday night. Sophomores Jennifer Soileau and Regan Scanlon each scored a goal and an assist in the victory, and freshman goalkeeper Melinda Smith posted three saves and a shutout in her first collegiate game.
