Lady Rebel Golfers in First Place at River Wilderness Intercollegiate

PARRISH, Fla.--The Ole Miss women's golf team, ranked No. 29 by Golf Week magazine, is in first place at the River Wilderness Intercollegiate after firing a 310 in the first round and a 300 in the second round.
The Lady Rebels are two strokes ahead of Indiana, who led the tournament after the first round with a 307 and shot a 305 in the second round. Miami is in third place with a 308-311--619.
Lauren Mellen, a senior from Orlando, Fla., is in second place after she followed her first-round 77 with a 71 in the second round. She is one stroke behind the leader, Stacey Orschell of Purdue, who posted a 73-74--147.
Two other Lady Rebels are included in the top 10. Robyn Rinaldo, a sophomore from Dade City, Fla., is tied for sixth with a 77-75--152. Megan Breen, a junior from Longwood, Fla., is tied for ninth with a 76-78--154. Freshman Marci Kornegay of Savannah, Ga., is tied for 15th with scores of 80-76--156. Junior Anna Kirchner of Spring, Texas, is tied for 55th with an 83-84--167.
The Lady Rebels, who have finished in the top 10 in all eight tournaments this year, will conclude the tournament Tuesday.
