OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - The warmups are over for Mississippi.
Emmanuel Wade had 14 points to lead four Ole Miss players in double figures and the Rebels cruised to an 89-48 victory over Birmingham-Southern on Sunday.
It was the last nonconference tune-up for Mississippi (12-1), which opens the Southeastern Conference season Wednesday at Arkansas.
"Arkansas has a really good team," Mississippi coach Rod Barnes said. "We'll find out what kind of a team we have. This is a new season for a young team, but we couldn't ask for anything more from this team."
Rebels guard Jason Harrison had 11 points and was also looking forward to playing the Razorbacks.
"It will be a great chance for our team to prove itself," Harrison said.
Rebels forwards Lataryl Williams and Darrian Brown each had 10 points against Birmingham-Southern.
Ole Miss shot 62 percent from the field and used a 23-0 run in the first half to blow open the game. The Rebels led by 31 at the half and the margin never slipped below 27 in the second half.
Corey Watkins led Birmingham-Southern (9-3) with 24 points.
