OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 7 nationally-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team will host Stetson University Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Women's Sports Complex on the corner of Hathorn Drive and Coliseum Drive.

The Lady Rebels enter the match with a 1-0 record after downing Middle Tennessee State 7-2, Monday. Ole Miss won all six of the singles matches in straight sets led by sixth-ranked Celeste Frey and 14th-ranked Ivona Mihailova.

This will be the first match for Stetson and first-year coach Maria Zavala, who took over in August of 1999. Stetson posted a 16-10 record last year, the most wins for the program since 1994. The Hatters are led by senior Taryn Lynn, who went 26-0 in 1999 and was the only undefeated player in the nation.

"With it being early in our spring dual match season, we are working to get everyone healthy and sharp for our upcoming matches against nationally-ranked opponents," head coach Jerry Montgomery said. "This match against Stetson will help us to evaluate where we are and challenge us to work more effectively as a team. I would like to encourage all of our sports fans here at Ole Miss to come to the Women's Sports Complex after the basketball game and cheer us on."

Following Saturday's match, the Lady Rebels will host a pair of ranked teams in New Mexico (27th-ranked) and BYU (56th-ranked).
