OXFORD, Miss. - Amy Sample posted her first career hat trick in leading the Ole Miss soccer team over Arkansas, 4-2, Sunday afternoon at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The Rebels (9-2, 2-0 SEC) run their school-record winning streak to nine games.

Sample, a freshman forward from Crestwood, Ky., tied the game at 1-1 at the 29:54 mark with a 23-yard score. Sample connected again in the 42nd minute, off an Anna Sanders assist, and netted her third goal (4) two minutes later. It was the fourth goal of the weekend for Sample, who scored the game-winner in the 2-1 win over LSU Friday night.

After a Julie Williford 13-yard goal (2) brought Arkansas (3-7-2, 1-2 SEC) within one, 3-2, Jennifer Solieau sealed the victory and her place atop the Ole Miss all-time total points list. The senior midfielder from Baton Rouge, La., finished off a goal kick (5) at the 66:20 mark, assisted by Sanders and Michaela Collins, to give her 94 career total points. Soileau passed Tammy Zegledi, who played from 1995-98, to take over as the Rebels' all-time leading scorer.

"It was an incredible win over a good Arkansas team," said Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman. "Amy Sample coming off the bench to score three goals in 15 minutes is just a tremendous reflection of the depth on this team. Every game a new player steps up and leads us.

"I was really proud of Jennifer for breaking the record. You couldn't pick two better games for her to tie and break the record than against two good SEC rivals like LSU and Arkansas."

The Lady Razorbacks opened the scoring 5:48 into the match when Mary Langston fired from 17 yards out (1) with Crystal Test picking up the assist. Ole Miss outshot Arkansas 19-14 on the day.

SEC Western Division leader Ole Miss takes to the road next weekend for a pair of key conference battles. The Rebels travel to Alabama, Friday at 7 p.m. and Auburn, Sunday at 1.
