Ole Miss Men's Basketball Conducts First Intra-Squad Scrimmage

OXFORD, Miss. -- Sophomore forward Richard Kirklin scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds Saturday to highlight Ole Miss' men's basketball first intra-squad scrimmage of the season.
Senior forward Rahim Lockhart added 13 points and eight rebounds in the scrimmage. Aaron Harper and David Sanders had 12 points each and Emmanuel Wade netted 11 points.
"I thought it was a good scrimmage, considering we have only practiced only a week," said third-year Rebel head coach Rod Barnes. "I saw some good things and I saw some things that we need to correct. We were better than I thought we would be today."
Kirkin scored his 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range. Lockhart was 4-of-5 from the field. Sanders was 4-of-7 >from the field, including 2 three-pointers and Wade 4-of-10 from the field.
The Rebels will host its first exhibition game on Nov. 6 against Spirit Express at 7 p.m. The Rebels then will host its second exhibition contest on Nov. 11 against Christian Brothers. The regular-season opener for Ole Miss is scheduled for Nov. 18 versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Tipoff is TBA.
