Men's Tennis Heads To Region III Tournament

OXFORD, Miss.-- The Ole Miss men's tennis team wraps up fall competition this weekend at the ITA Region III Championships in Athens, Ga., Nov. 2-5. The tournament will be played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

The field will consist of a 96-player singles draw and a 48-team doubles draw. Among the 33 teams that will be participating in the tournament, include 10 of the 12 SEC schools. The Rebels will be vying for a berth in the Rolex National Indoor Championships in February.

Alex Hartman, Kristofer Stahlberg, Patrick Chucri, and Conor Casey will be competing in Athens. Hartman, preseason ranked No. 10 in the nation, leads the way for the Rebels. He enters this weekend's competition with an 8-2 record including a quarterfinal showing at the T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Championships.

Stahlberg, ranked No. 94 in the nation, comes into the weekend after a successful run at the Tennessee Fall Classic in Knoxville last weekend. He defeated two nationally-ranked players including Tennessee's Adam Carey, ranked No. 20.
