ATHENS, Ga. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team experienced a tough day at the Region III Championships Thursday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, as all five Rebels lost in singles. The Rebels did have two doubles teams advance to the second round.
The tournament's second seed, sophomore Alex Hartman, dropped a hard-fought three-setter, after a first-round bye, to Tulane's Michael Kogan. Kogan, the Green Wave's No. 1 player, won the first set 6-3 and then Hartman came back to take the second 6-4. The two battled it out in the third with Kogan winning 7-5. Hartman ends his fall campaign at 8-3.
