Rebel Duo Advances To Semifinals At Region III Championships

ATHENS, Ga. -- Ole Miss men's tennis duo Kristofer Stahlberg and Conor Casey advanced to the semifinals at the ITA Region III Championships Saturday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex by defeating a team from Georgia.
Stalhberg and Casey have rattled off four wins to get to the semifinals. In the quarterfinal match, they defeated Bo Hodge and Lesley Joseph of Georgia 8-4. They will face Oliver Foreman and Robert Gustafsson of Middle Tennessee in the semifinals.
The other semifinal match pits Georgia against Auburn. Competition continues on Sunday with doubles semifinals and finals. Doubles semifinals play will begin at 10 a.m. at the Dan Magill Complex followed immediately with the doubles final.
The Rebel duo is vying for a spot in the Rolex National Indoor Championships in February. The Rolex Indoor is the third leg of the collegiate grand slam.
