HEAD COACH ROD BARNES Opening Comments:
"First of all I want to thank God for the opportunity to play a game. I look forward to the season. Spirit Express played hard, they never went away. We have plenty of room to improve, but our guys played well. I saw a lot of effort out there. We need to teach this team how to win. Each guy gave good effort, but I really saw some guys step up their play in Jason Harrison, Jason Flanigan and David Sanders."
Sophomore DAVID SANDERS
"I think it was the best thing for me to not start. I got a chance to see what was going on. I think in the next game we will have to come out and play a lot better."
Senior JASON FLANIGAN
"I think we need to get better defensively. We need to get better at stopping our man from scoring. We definitely lacked defensive intensity tonight."
