Men's Tennis Ranks 12th In Latest Poll

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team is ranked No. 12 in the latest WingspanBank.com collegiate rankings released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Rebels (18-5) are coming off a semifinal appearance at the SEC Tournament this past weekend in Starkville. They defeated Mississippi State for the fifth consecutive time, 4-3 in the quarterfinals., before falling to Florida 4-3 in the semis.
Stanford remained No. 1 followed by UCLA, Florida, Baylor, Pepperdine, Duke, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas A&M and LSU in the top 10. Six teams from the SEC are ranked among the nation's Top 25.
In the individual rankings, freshman Alexander Hartman moved up to No. 28 in singles with a 31-16 overall record. James Shortall is ranked No. 53 and Anders Stenman, who has won seven in a row, is ranked No. 76. Shortall and Vikrant Chadha moved up to No. 21 in the doubles rankings.
The NCAA will announce the 64 teams for the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships and the 16 teams that will host regionals, Thursday, May 4.
