OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 17 nationally-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team won four singles matches and then dominated at No. 3 doubles to defeat 22nd-ranked Tennessee 5-4 Friday afternoon at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.

Ole Miss improves to 13-6 overall, 5-3 in the SEC, while Tennessee drops to 13-10 and 4-4 in conference play. The Lady Rebels have won three of their last four matches and improve to 7-3 at home this year.

Senior Celeste Frey got things going with perhaps her best peformance of the year, downing Agnes Wiski 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Wiski won the first two games of the match, and then Frey won 10 straight on her way to the win.

Freshman Mira Radu has now won four in a row as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 win over Meiling Parks at No. 4 singles. Alesya Ignatieva defeated Tennessee's Candy Reid 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles to make it 3-0 Lady Rebels.

Ivona Mihailova won the first set against Alison Ojeda 7-6(3) and then dominated the second 6-1 to give Ole Miss a 4-0 lead. Tenneesse's Crystal Cleveland won her 10th match in a row at No. 6 singles, defeating Lady Rebel Irena Mihailova 7-6, 7-5 to put the Lady Vols on the board.

On court three, Lady Vol Vilmarie Castellvi rallied to beat Mariana Eberle 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to make it 4-2 Ole Miss and force doubles play. The loss snapped Eberle's five-match win streak.

It didn't take long for the Lady Rebels to win the clinching point as Ivona Mihailova and Ignatieva dominated Parks and Cleveland 8-2 at No. 3 doubles to seal the victory. The pair beat a Tennessee team that came into the match winners of seven in a row.

Tennessee won at No. 2 doubles, and Ole Miss defaulted the No. 1 doubles match for the final score.

The Lady Rebels will host South Carolina Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the final regular season match. Sunday's match will mark the final regular season home contest for four seniors.
