John Gunn Records Second Straight Double-Double

JYVASKYLA, Finland - John Gunn, a sophomore forward on the Ole Miss men's basketball team, recorded his second double-double in as many games in helping lead the Planet Basketball All-Star Team to a 102-82 victory over Sayanatsalon Riento on Wednesday. Planet Basketball is now 2-0 on its European tour.

Gunn followed up Tuesday's 21-point, 18-board performance with a double-double of 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds in Wednesday's victory. Darren Fenn (Canisius) and Donovan Thomas (Loyola, Md.) led Planet Basketball with 20 points apiece. Fenn also grabbed 10 boards to record his second double-double of the tour.

Other double figure scorers for Planet Basketball were Rashaun Warren (Kent State) with 16 points and John Calloway (Kent State) with 10 points. Brian Brennan (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) led the team with 12 assists.

Planet Basketball led only 45-39 at halftime against Sayanatsalon Riento, a professional team that recently qualified for Finland's Super League first division. The team is coached by former Finnish national team assistant Ensio Helimaki.

The Planet Basketball All-Star Team will play its final game in Finland on Thursday, before the tour moves to Prague in the Czech Republic.
