Ole Miss Women's Soccer Travels To Kansas

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss soccer team takes its three-game winning streak to Overland Park, Kan., this weekend for the KU Credit Union Jayhawk Soccer Classic. The Rebels face Southwest Missouri State Friday at 4 p.m.(CST), and host Kansas Saturday at 4.

Ole Miss (3-2) is coming off a 5-1 win over in-state foe Southern Miss last Friday in Oxford. Five different Rebels scored goals, and Kristin Chapman and Jennifer Soileau picked up a goal and an assist.

Chapman, a sophomore-transfer from Vicksburg, Miss., is second on the team in total points this season with five. Senior Regan Scanlon tops Ole Miss in points with six and goals with three.

Southwest Missouri (3-4) enters Friday's match having lost three of its four, including a 4-0 loss to Tulsa on Sunday. Bears? freshman Mary Litvan leads SMS with four goals and two assists, and boasts two multiple-goal games this season.

The host Jayhawks are at .500 (3-3) after splitting their matches at the UC-Irvine Invitational last weekend. KU freshmen midfielder Jennifer Ray was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week after finishing the tournament with a goal and an assist. Ray has five points this season.
