OXFORD, Miss. - Season tickets for Ole Miss men's basketball are on sale now, and for those who purchase regular season ticket packages, a trip to Hawaii with the Rebels is at stake.
The Ole Miss basketball season package is $192 for all 16 home games, including non-conference battles with Oklahoma and Kansas State and Southeastern Conference tilts against Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn and Alabama. Individual game tickets can be purchased for $12.
"This season should be another exciting one for Ole Miss basketball," said head coach Rod Barnes, who is in his third season. "We ended last season on a tremendous note by advancing to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament, and there is no doubt that the Rebel fans made the difference in the two NIT games we hosted at Tad Smith Coliseum.
"This year we have several talented veterans returning along with the best recruiting class this program has seen in some time. I would like to challenge our fans to continue their support by purchasing their season tickets immediately. I've been amazed by the loyalty of Ole Miss fans since my days as a player, and I look forward to seeing everyone in Tad Smith Coliseum for all of our games."
Season tickets can be purchased by calling the Ole Miss Athletic Ticket Office at 662-915-7167 or 888-732-8587 (toll free, in-state only). Visa and Mastercard orders can be taken over the phone. For mail orders, send a check made payable to The University of Mississippi to the Ole Miss Athletic Ticket Office, PO Box 247, University, MS 38677.
Basketball season tickets will also be sold in The Grove from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 30 prior to the kickoff of the Ole Miss-Kentucky football game. The basketball season tickets will be sold in front of The Grove stage, where the 1980-81 and 2000-01 Rebels squads will also be autographing team photos beginning at 1:00 p.m. (CT). Tickets can be purchased by cash, check or credit card.
All persons buying 2000-01 season ticket packages will be registered in a drawing for a trip for two to Hawaii with the Ole Miss basketball squad in December. The Rebels will play in the Pearl Harbor Invitational Dec. 21-23 in Laie, Hawaii, located just outside of Honolulu. Those who purchase student season ticket packages will not be eligible for the Hawaii trip drawing. The drawing for the trip will be held at Ole Miss' regular-season opener versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 18.
The Rebel basketball squad will tip off its season on Nov. 6 versus Spirit Express in exhibition action at Tad Smith Coliseum. Game time for the exhibition contest is 7:00 p.m. (CT).
