- The Rebels improved their record to 20-4 overall and 8-3 in the SEC. The 2000-01 Ole Miss squad posted its 20th victory in only 24 games, the fastest of any team in Rebel basketball history.
- Ole Miss has won 20 games in a season for the fourth time in the last five years.
- Ole Miss still owns a half-game lead over Alabama for first place in the SEC Western Division standings.
- With his 15 points tonight vs. Mississippi State, Rahim Lockhart became the 25th Rebel in history to pass the 1,000-point milestone. He now has 1,009 career points.
- Rahim Lockhart also broke the 700-rebound plateau for his career. With his eight boards vs. the Bulldogs, he now has 701 rebounds and is in the No. 7 spot on the Ole Miss career rebounding chart.
- The Rebels won their 100th game in the Ole Miss-Mississippi State series tonight. The Bulldogs still lead the overall series 122-100.
- The Ole Miss victory tonight ended Mississippi State's four-game win streak in the series. Prior to tonight's win, the last Rebel victory in the series was an 81-68 win in the 1998-99 season.
