Men's Tennis To Begin Five-Match Homestand Against Indiana

OXFORD, Miss. -

The No. 17 nationally-ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team will begin a five-match homestand Wednesday against Indiana. The match will be played at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center at 2:00 p.m.

Ole Miss enters the match with an 8-3 overall record. They are coming off a 4-0 win over Division II powerhouse West Florida last Thursday. The Rebels have won 51 of their last 55 matches at home.

The Rebels are led by three players ranked in the nation's top 40. Alex Hartman is ranked No. 11 with a 19-8 overall record, 7-4 in dual matches. Senior James Shortall comes in ranked No. 21 with an impressive 9-1 dual match record. Junior Kristofer Stahlberg has not lost a match this spring in team competition, as he is 9-0 at No. 3 singles and ranked No. 38.

Indiana comes into the match with a 9-2 overall record and ranked No. 38 in the nation. The Hoosiers had won four in a row and eight of their last nine before losing to Kentucky, 6-0 last Saturday. Indiana is led by 2000 All-Big Ten selection Milan Rakvica, who is 12-6 overall.
