Soileau Makes Final Roster for Philadelphia Charge

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Former Ole Miss soccer standout Jennifer Soileau was named to the final 19-player roster Friday for the Philadelphia Charge of the newly formed Women's United Soccer Association.

Soileau, a midfielder from Baton Rouge, La., was a third round selection by the Charge in the WUSA supplemental college draft in February.

The Rebels' all-time leading scorer, Soileau closed out her four-year career in the fall with her third All-SEC first team selection. She was also named to the 2000 All-Central Region first team by both the NSCAA and Soccer Buzz, in addition to earning Academic All-America status.

Philadelphia plays the last of four exhibition matches at the WUSA Spring Training Tournament in Chula Vista, Calif., on Saturday at 2 p.m. PT vs.the Carolina Courage. The team will then continue training in Philadelphia in April before opening the inaugural WUSA season on Sunday, April 22 in San Diego.
