Women's Golf Currently In Ninth Place In SEC Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Ole Miss women's golf team finds itself in ninth place after day one of the 2001 SEC Women's Golf Championship at the University of Florida Golf Course. The Lady Rebels fired an opening round 314.

LSU has the opening round lead with a 287. Georgia and Florida trail the Tigers by three strokes.

Ole Miss' Bernadette Luse and Elizabeth Hoffman are tied for 36th place with opening rounds of 78. Teresa Brown and Marci Kornegay fired opening rounds of 79 and are tied for 44thplace. Lori Cate had an opening round score of 84 and is tied for 52nd place.

Second round play is slated for Saturday with the final round scheduled for Sunday at the University of Florida Golf Course.
