OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss soccer team takes a tour through the state of Arizona this weekend, traveling to Arizona State and Northern Arizona. The Rebels face ASU Friday at 7 p.m. MT in Tempe, and follow up with NAU Sunday at noon MT in Flagstaff.

Ole Miss (2-3) continues to be road warriors, having yet to play a game in Oxford this season. The Rebels dropped their second one-goal game of the year on Monday, falling 1-0 at Memphis. Ole Miss outshot Memphis 6-0 in the second half and finished the game with a 10-4 advantage, but still fell short in their first loss against the Tigers in five meetings.

"Despite our loss to Memphis, the girls are prepared to work harder and move forward," said Rebel head coach Steve Holeman. "We realize that we must bring our best game every time we step on the field.

"Arizona State is one of the toughest games on our schedule as well as our sixth consecutive game on the road. ASU is an NCAA team and will be a great challenge for us. NAU will be another quality non-conference opponent."

Arizona State, ranked No. 22 in the preseason, returns seven starters from a 2000 squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Sun Devils enter the game with a 3-1 mark and coming off a 3-0 domination of New Mexico on Sept. 9. Sophomore forward Patrice Feulner netted her team-high fifth goal of the season, while senior All-American Stacey Tullock connected on her third score of 2001 to lead ASU over the Lobos.

Northern Arizona is under new direction this season, with Andre Luciano beginning his first season as head coach. The Lumberjacks are off to a 2-2 start and coming off a 3-0 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday. Senior forward Holly Jones is leading NAU with a pair of goals.

Ole Miss will be facing Arizona State for the first time this weekend, while the Rebels are 1-0 all-time against Northern Arizona. Junior forward Courtney Biddle notched her first career hat trick to lead Ole Miss to a 5-0 beating of the Jacks last year in Oxford.
