Women's Tennis To Participate in Roberta Alison Fall Classic

OXFORD, Miss. - Members of the Ole Miss women's tennis team will head to Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend to participate in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic from Sept. 28-30 hosted by the University of Alabama. Matches will begin at 8 a.m. Friday morning and run through Sunday.

Teams that will be participating in the tournament are: Alabama, Arkansas State, Auburn, Auburn-Montgomery, Florida State, Houston, Louisiana-Monroe, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Troy State and Washington State.

Each player in the tournament is guaranteed to play three singles and three doubles matches unless there is rain. Friday each player will play one singles and two doubles matches. Saturday each player will play one singles and one doubles match. Sunday will be the last round of singles

Mira Radu, Karem Harboe, Sabrina Peppl, Florencia Basile, Camilla Gould and Audra Adams will be competing in singles and doubles. Senior Alesya Ignatieva and freshman Agathe DeRouck will only participate in doubles.

The Lady Rebels are coming off the Tulane Greenwave Classic last weekend. Radu posted a 3-1 record and captured third place in the A Division Singles. Basile and Peppl, both sophomores, also finished 3-1.

All matches will be played at the Outdoor Varsity Courts as well as the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
