Wade Lifts Rebels Over Vanderbilt, 73-61

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Emmanuel Wade scored a season-high 14, coming off the bench to give Mississippi a needed lift in the second half, and the Rebels beat Vanderbilt 73-61 on Wednesday night.
Justin Reed had 17 and David Sanders added 15 for the Rebels (17-4, 6-2 Southeastern Conference), who have won four straight and six of seven.
Vanderbilt (13-7, 3-4) had its three-game losing streak snapped and lost in Oxford for the eight straight time.
Chuck Moore led the Commodores with 14 points and Matt Freije had 12.
Ole Miss ended the first half in a field-goal drought and started the second half the same way. The Rebels made just one basket in the first seven minutes of the second half.
Vanderbilt pecked away while Ole Miss was struggling. The Commodores grabbed a 39-38 lead - their first since early in the first half - on a three-point play by Brian Thornton, who was fouled while putting back a missed shot.
In need of an offensive spark, the Rebels got it from their sixth man.
Wade scored nine of the Rebels' next 14 points, including two offensive putbacks, and a 3-pointer with 7:40 left that gave them a 52-49 lead.
Jason Harrison and Aaron Harper sank 3s on back-to-back possessions to extend the Ole Miss lead, and Sanders' dunk off a steal made the score 64-53 with 4:30.
Sanders had three of Ole Miss' 14 steals.
In the first half, the Rebels' turned 14 Vanderbilt turnovers into 18 points to take a 31-25 lead at the break.
Sanders provided the first-half highlight with a reverse, two-handed jam off a steal. The dunk was part of an 11-0 run that put Ole Miss up 25-13.
