Ole Miss Basketball Student Season Tickets Go On Sale Monday

OXFORD, Miss. - Student basketball season tickets for the 2002-03 campaign will go on sale Monday, Nov. 4 beginning at 12:00 p.m. (CT) at the Athletic Ticket Office, which is located in the front of Tad Smith Coliseum.
Ole Miss will have 1,500 student season tickets on sale, and the cost is $80 for 16 home games. Students wanting to purchase season tickets must bring their student ID.
That same night, students are invited to watch the Rebel basketball squad practice at the coliseum. Pizza Hut will offer free pizzas to the first 100 students in attendance.
"I would encourage the students to buy their tickets early," said fifth-year head coach Rod Barnes. "Last year, we sold out of student season tickets in one day and that was tremendous. I know the students are as excited about this season as the team is, and we're ready to get started."
Last season, all 1,500 student season tickets sold out the first day, including 1,300 in the first six hours.
This year, 16 home games are slated for Tad Smith Coliseum. The Rebels' home opener is Nov. 27 versus Alabama State, and other non-league games include Virginia Commonwealth (Dec. 14), Evansville, (Dec. 23) and Samford (Dec. 31). Ole Miss' Southeastern Conference home schedule begins Jan. 11 versus Tennessee. The Rebels host each SEC Western Division opponent once and will host Eastern Division foes Kentucky (Feb. 8) and Georgia (Feb. 26) along with Tennessee.
Ole Miss hosts its first exhibition game Nov. 9 versus West Alabama at 1:00 p.m. (CT). The Rebels open regular-season play on the road at East Carolina Nov. 24. Game time is 1:00 p.m. (CT).
