Box Score

KENTUCKY HEAD COACH WARREN LIPKA
That was the best game of the tournament so far. This game was similar to what happened in Lexington. They out-played us a ton in the first half in Lexington, and we came back and played hard in the second half. The roles were reversed here tonight. The fans got their money's worth tonight.

(Biggest difference in the two meetings)
Tonight we finished our opportunities. In Lexington, we didn't finish them, but tonight we did. A big difference for us was the play of our goalkeeper, Liz Butler, especially in the second half. She made two incredible game-saving saves at the end of the game.

(On Tennessee)
They are very dangerous. They have a lot of attacking ability and they are well organized. It's going to be a handful.

OLE MISS HEAD COACH STEVE HOLEMAN
Our coaching staff is extremely proud of the team's performance. Our heads are high. What a great performance to come out in the second half and out-shoot a great Kentucky team 9-1. We didn't lose the game for lack of opportunities. The ball didn't bounce our way and that's the game of soccer.

(On hosting the tournament)
Our players were motivated, ready to play and well prepared. They gave everything they had tonight and put on a great performance. We just ended up on the bad end of things.

(On the play of Kentucky goalkeeper Liz Butler)
She got her hand on our two shots that hit the crossbar. Those were great saves. She played well and kept them in the game.

(On NCAA Tournament hopes)
We're looking at it as we will get a bid. We've done what we needed to do throughout the season to be one of the top 64 teams in the country. Many don't know how good Kentucky is. They just knocked off Michigan last weekend, and they are a top-25 team. We feel we deserve to be in the NCAA Tournament. We have quality wins this season. We finished third overall in one of the toughest leagues in the nation, and that makes a big statement. We went 3-0 against Big 12 teams. We have beaten some good teams this season. Tonight is only our fourth loss of the season, and we don't have any bad losses.
