KENTUCKY HEAD COACH WARREN LIPKA
It was another hard fought battle. They had a chance to win in regulation, and we had a couple of opportunities also. It took an outstanding shot to score that goal in overtime. It was a great finish. (Goalkeeper) Liz Butler played outstanding. Tennessee is very good in back, good and strong. They are good in the air. We have a good chance to get in the NCAA Tournament.
Tonight was similar to the Ole Miss match last night. It was good, attacking soccer teams. No one was sitting back and packing it in. I'd rather see us fighting and have a game like this than to sit back.
Liz Butler played back-to-back great games. She came to play this weekend.
TENNESSEE HEAD COACH ANGELA KELLY
It was a battle and we knew it was going to be a battle. It was back and forth and it could have gone either way. It was our eighth overtime game of the season, and we have come out on the winning end a majority of those times.
(On the Tennessee defense)
It's a credit to our players. We added Jen Laughridge to our backfield, and if I had to choose a player of the game for us, it would be her. Putting her back there has helped solidify our backfield. I can't say enough about our defense. This win was a team effort.
(On Sunday's title game)
I can't be happier than to play Florida. There isn't another team in the conference that I want to play in the championship game than Florida. We'll come ready for a battle. We play for 90 minutes, and overtime if we have to.
