OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Justin Reed scored 21 points to lead Mississippi to its fifth straight victory with an 80-57 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Tuesday.

Reed was 8-of-10 from the field with seven rebounds. He had his second straight 20-point game, despite sitting out the final eight minutes.

Aaron Harper had 14 points, including 12 in the second half, while David Sanders had 12 for the Rebels (5-1), who extended their homecourt winning streak to 16.

Ole Miss has won 55 of its last 56 home games against nonconference competition.

Mark Keith led Louisiana-Monroe (2-4) with 15 points, while Brandon Horn and Kirby Lemons had 12 each.

The Indians have lost five straight to the Rebels by an average of 24 points.

Ole Miss went on a 22-1 run five minutes into the game to take a 28-9 lead with 6:43 left in the first half.

Reed had eight consecutive points during the surge while the defense forced the Indians into six turnovers.

Louisiana-Monroe missed eight consecutive shots and went more than 11 minutes without a field goal.

Ole Miss led 37-27 at halftime, hitting 15-of-26 from the field. Reed and Sanders did not miss a shot, combining to hit nine field goals.

Louisiana-Monroe got as close as four points on three occasions early in the second half, the final time at 44-40 with 14:30 left on a 3-point shot by Horn.

The Rebels responded with a 12-3 run, including seven straight by Harper, and Louisiana-Monroe never got closer than nine points again.
