Women's Tennis Ranked No. 32 In Latest National Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's tennis team, coming off a 1-1 performance at the SEC Tournament last weekend, is ranked No. 32 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Rankings released Wednesday. The Lady Rebels will learn next week where they will be playing next, when the NCAA selections are announced.

Six teams from the SEC are ranked in the current top 25 with three in the top 10. Stanford took over the No. 1 spot, followed by Florida, Georgia, Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Arizona State and Texas.

The Lady Rebels (12-10) downed Alabama 4-0 in the first round of the SEC Tournament last weekend in Columbia, before falling to Georgia 4-0. Nine of Ole Miss' 10 losses have come against teams in the top 25.

Individually, junior Mira Radu is ranked No. 14 with a 33-14 overall record. She earned All-SEC honors for the first time in her career and needs two wins to equal her freshman campaign of 35 victories. Senior Alesya Ignatieva is ranked No. 66 with a 21-9 record. Sophomore Karem Harboe earned her first ranking at No. 123 with a 22-11 record.

The NCAA pairings and first and second round sites will be announced Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. EST. The Lady Rebels have made the NCAA Championships nine times overall and are looking to qualify for the seventh consecutive year.
