Lady Rebel Netters Bow Out Of NCAA Singles Championships

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Mira Radu and Alesya Ignatieva bowed out of the first round of the NCAA Singles Championships Wednesday at the Taube Family Tennis Center on the Stanford University campus.

Radu lost to No. 9-16 seed Maja Mlakar of Arizona 6-1, 6-3. Radu finished the season with a 33-16 overall record, her best campaign since her freshman year. She earned All-SEC honors for the first time in her career.

Ignatieva, a senior, closed out her career with a 6-0, 6-4 loss to Northwestern's Marine Piriou. She ended the year at 21-10.
