Ole Miss Basketball To Hold Coaching Clinic October 26

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss basketball will hold the Rod Barnes' Coaching Clinic Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. until mid-afternoon at Tad Smith Coliseum. The one-day clinic costs $40.
Barnes will speak on the Ole Miss offense and defense, and Tony Smith, Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach, will discuss the Ole Miss strength program. Coaches will also watch a Rebel basketball practice in the early afternoon.
"This is a great way to exchange ideas on the game of basketball," Barnes said. "Our staff loves to teach the game and also learn from others, and this clinic will offer that. I'd encourage all coaches who are interested to sign up as early as possible because space is limited."
Following the clinic, coaches are welcome to join the Rebel staff for golf at the University Golf Course. The cost, which is separate from the clinic's fee, is $27 and includes 18 holes and a cart.

The Rebels open their 2002-03 campaign Nov. 24 at East Carolina. Ole Miss returns 11 letterwinners and four starters from last year's squad that went 20-11 and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.
