Lady Rebels Move Into Second At Beacon Woods Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. - The Ole Miss women's golf team fired the lowest round of the day, using a 298 to move from sixth to a tie for second in the second round of action at the Beacon Woods Invitational on Saturday.
Ole Miss is tied with UCF after two days of play, firing a 306-298-604 to move up in the standings.
"We came out focused today and really played some good golf," said head coach Meghan Bolger. "Nikki Hadd and Adrienne White really stepped up to the plate and helped push us today. We need to come out Sunday and finish the deal."
Both Hadd and White used second round scores of par or better to help pull the Lady Rebels into second. Hadd fired an even score of 72, carding a 76-72-148 for the first two rounds of action to tie for seventh-place. White fired a 1-under-par 71 on Saturday and tied for ninth-place with a two-day score of 78-71-149.
Laura Evans tied for 20th overall after two rounds, firing a total of74-79-153 for the two days of action, while Jade Polonich cut four strokes off her first day total, carding an 80-76-156 to tie for 28th in the standings.
Sarah Kate Cousart rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss, firing a two-day score of 78-79-157 to tie for 31st.
Competing as individuals, Katie Davidson sits tied for 46th with a score of 84-82-166, while Lisha Beyer fired an 87-86-173 for two days of play to tie for 53rd.
The Lady Rebels will conclude play on Sunday with the final round of action.
