Rebels Edge Out Evansville, 69-66

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Kendrick Fox's three-pointer with four seconds left in regulation broke a tied game and lifted Ole Miss to a 69-66 road win over Evansville Wednesday.
The Rebels (3-3) trailed by as much as 13 in the second half and rallied for their first lead, 61-60, with 3:39 to go. The two teams traded baskets over the final minutes, and the Purple Aces (1-5) knotted the game with 13 seconds left on a fall-away three by Clint Cuffle.
However, Fox followed with his fifth trey of the night and second game-winner of the young season. The junior forward from Oxford, who turned in a career-high 17 points, also connected on the go-ahead three-pointer with 28 seconds left in a victory over Southeastern Louisiana.
Ole Miss outscored UE 31-17 over the final 10:14 and shot 9-of-13 threes in the second half. Aaron Harper and Fox finished the game with five treys apiece, and Harper clocked out with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
With Justin Reed in foul trouble throughout the night, the Rebels also received a career-high 11 points from junior transfer Tommie Eddie in the post. Reed fouled out with 5:15 remaining and 6 points, ending a streak of 13 straight games in double-figures.
Andre Burton led Evansville with 16 points and 8 boards, while Cuffle added 14 points and 6 rebounds.
Ole Miss begins a six-game homestand Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. CT at Tad Smith Coliseum.
