Men's Basketball Falls To Auburn, 80-75

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Marquis Daniels scored 29 points and Marco Killingsworth finished with 19, including two on a dunk with 56 seconds left in Auburn's 80-75 victory Saturday over Mississippi.
Daniels hit 11 consecutive shots for Auburn (18-7, 7-5) and finished 12-of-14 from the field. Killingsworth scored 17 second-half points.
Killingworth had two dunks in the final 56 seconds, the final one on an assist by Daniels as Auburn snapped a 75-75 tie.
Ole Miss (12-11, 3-9) dropped its seventh consecutive game and is 0-7 this season in games decided by single digits.
Auburn never trailed.
Ole Miss rallied to tie the score at 75 on Aaron Harper's fifth 3-pointer with 1:25 left.
Following a timeout, Auburn got Killingsworth free for a dunk with 56 seconds left to secure the win.
The Tigers remain one-half game behind Mississippi State for the Western Division lead as the Tigers won their third SEC road game.
The Tigers shot a torrid 30-of-46 from the field, 65.2 percent, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range.
Despite the hot shooting, Auburn saw a 59-48 lead evaporate in the final 13 minutes as Ole Miss hit 10-of-21 from 3-point range, including 7-of-12 in the second half.
Harper led the Rebels with 20 points.
Justin Reed missed much of the second half with foul trouble, but finished with 19 points. Trey Pearson added 10.
The Rebels lost their fourth SEC home game - the first time that has happened in five seasons under coach Rod Barnes.
Daniels scored 20 first-half points, connecting on nine consecutive field goals.
Daniels made 11 consecutive points as Auburn built its biggest lead, 41-31, with 2:26 left in the first half. Daniels finally missed a shot from the field on his 12th attempt with 10:45 left in the second half.
