The No. 8 ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team will host 22nd-ranked Ohio State Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. The match marks the Rebels' sixth top 25 opponent to date this year.

Ole Miss downed Arkansas-Little Rock 6-1 Wednesday afternoon in its first outdoor match of the season to improve to 8-2 overall. The Rebels won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Singles were played first due to the forecast of rain. The two teams decided to play the doubles after singles were completed, and Ole Miss swept all three.

Claes Lindholm won his 17th straight dual match dating back to last season and is 8-0 this year in dual matches and 30-2 lifetime at Ole Miss. Lindholm has won eight in a row overall and 10 of his last 11.

To prove how important the doubles point is in a match, the Rebels are 24-1 dating back to last season when they win the doubles point. The Rebels' top two teams are a combined 18-2 in dual matches this spring.

Ohio State (10-3) is coming off a 7-0 win over Indiana State last Sunday. It marked their sixth shut out of the season and 29th under fourth-year head coach Ty Tucker. The Buckeyes are led by 13th-ranked Jeremy Wurtzman, who is 22-6 overall and 11-2 in dual matches on the year. Their No. 2 player, 65th-ranked Vince Ng, owns a 11-2 dual match record in 2003. He needs seven wins to become the all-time career singles leader at Ohio State.
