Ole Miss Spring Schedule/Results

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss soccer team looks to continue its successful spring this Saturday with its final home tournament of the season. The eighth-annual Ole Miss 7-Aside Tournament features an 18-game slate beginning at 9 a.m. CST at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.

The Rebels will field two squads and will be joined by Tulane, Arkansas State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Memphis, Louisiana-Monroe and club teams Jackson Futbol Club and Team Boca.

"It's always a spectacular event," said Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman. "It combines tournament atmosphere with a different style of play, and it's always a lot of fun for the girls. We're excited about the event, and we hope to see a great crowd at the stadium."

Ole Miss boasts a 6-1 record this spring, and is fresh off a momentous victory at Mississippi State last Friday. In the inaugural battle for the Magnolia Cup, the Rebels knocked off the Bulldogs, 1-0, on the strength of a Kelly Renie game-winner in the 70th minute.

Renie, who earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in the fall, tops Ole Miss in scoring again this season with five goals. Fellow All-SEC first team honoree Kristal Menard has tallied three goals, as has freshman Hillary Beckman.
