Men's Tennis Goes Undefeated At Fall Classic

TUNICA, Miss. - Members of the Ole Miss men's tennis team posted six more wins Saturday in the Ole Miss Fall Classic at the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Center to go undefeated in the two-day round robin tournament.
Sophomore Fredrik Aarum defeated Alejandro Alvez of Delta State, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2. Junior Juan Pablo Di Cesare downed Marten Tamla of Memphis, 6-1, 6-0. Eric Claesson cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win over Mark Finnegan of Memphis.
In the final round, Claesson dominated Alvez, 6-1, 6-2. Aarum posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over a player from Delta State in the final round. Di Cesare defeated Bryan Bankester of Memphis, 6-2, 6-3.
"We were very impressed with the facilities," head coach Billy Chadwick said. "We look forward to hosting more tournaments in the future here. This was an excellent opportunity for the guys to put into play what we've been working on in practice."
Most of the Rebels will conclude the fall season in two weeks at the Bulldog Scramble in Athens, Ga., while senior Catalin Gard will compete in the ITA National Indoor in Ann Arbor, Mich., the second major of the year.
