Rebel Netter Advances In Qualifying At All-American

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Ole Miss men's tennis sophomore Eric Claesson advanced to the second round of qualifying at the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships Monday at the Champions Club.
Claesson dominated Middle Tennessee's Ariant Sitaram, 6-0, 6-0 in the first round. He will face one of Florida's top newcomers, Greg Oullette, in the second round Tuesday at 9 a.m. Claesson must win two more matches to reach the main draw, which begins Thursday.
Rebel senior Catalin Gard is the No. 1 seed in the main draw and looks to win his first grand slam.
The All-American features over 300 players from across the country, making it the largest collegiate event of the season. Over 70 schools from across the country will be sending players to compete throughout the week.
